In my photoshoot I don’t think that really anything went well. There were a lot of complications that I went through in this process.

On the other hand many things didn’t work that well. My partner quit on me in the middle of the process so I had to find another model. We had a week to complete this project and by the time my model was ready it was Thursday. I didn’t get my photos finished and uploaded until Friday. Everyone was taking extra photos Thursday so I had no camera to check out and the lights were all taken. I scrambled to get my partner's face painted which made it look somewhat sloppy.

With more time I would have used different lighting to change the setting or mood of my picture. Dimming it. Coloring it. Etc… Sadly, the light in my image was used in one way which was to bring out the glitter I added to my model.

How did the expressions you used, make for a more interesting photograph?

The yin-yang is used to show masculine and feminine traits. My model was male so we did facial expressions that were gender-neutral to show the balance between the two. As the yin-yang would.

This project showed me that you can show meaning and thoughts in art. Not just on a canvas but different things like faces and bodies. Inspiration is all around us. Anything has the potential to become art.
