This is the Moment In Time project, we chose one moment in our life that stood out to us. We refined and continued to refine until we had anamazing story. The final product is an exactly 1 page story on the moment we chose to write about. The moment that we had to choose must be something that made us who we are or changed us. Our goal was to write a 1 page story in so much detail that the reader could feel as if they were there themselves. We had to try to capture the true essence of this story and why it changed us.

     This project taught me how to remove unneeded words and make beautiful descriptive phrases. I now know have a better understanding of professional language and what that looks like. I learned how to write a great story with showing and not telling. Now I know what a great story looks and sounds like. Narrative writing is a frorm of writing that shows what happened and not telling what happened. Narrative writing helps people get a better understanding of what a great story should look like. It helps you become more detailed and a better writer all together.

     Writing this paper I didn't realize how much of this memory I remember and how vivid those memories actually are. It became relevant to me that these memories have a bigger impact on our lives than we thought. I find writing a struggle, it’s hard for me to express and show my opinions through words so this was a difficult but rewarding challenge. The story I wrote my paper about was very personal to me and can be very hard to talk about, so writing this paper I struggled even more. I feel I improved greatly. If I could change my story now I would probably add more to how this moment affected me. I wish I could have created a broader message throughout my story.

     I learned so much in this project but the things that really stuck out to me were the different ways you can critique your own paper and how you can write a quality paper in 10th grade. I can now write a paper that I am proud of showing off to everyone. I learned about how there are little things in your paper that if you take out, you can make it so much better. I learned how to be descriptive in my story and how to draw people in and make them interested in my writing. This project helped me uncover messages behind stories. Before I didn’t completely understand how this project affected me but now by using descriptive details I know how important this moment is to me.
